Do you ever confuse card designs? Well I do but its not too often that happens.

Two of the sets that I sometimes get confused are 1991 & 1992 topps. The baseball card is a 1992 topps gold parallel and the football card is 1991 topps. Now what is it that im confused about? The borders. Look at the sides of each of the borders. They both have these lines going down that sort of look like a border within a border.

The only way that I can tell the difference is by looking at the way the name is displayed on the bottom. 1992 has a box for the player name and a box for a team name. In 1991 both are displayed on the same horizontal box. Its a wonder I can even tell them apart but I have…successfully.

Off the top of my head I can identify 2 more designs I get confused. Thats for another post.

Actually heres a better comparison.
1992 on top and 1991 on the bottom. You see what I mean now?
See those lines I mentioned down the sides? Confusing right?

What are some designs that you often get confused? Is it 1991 & 1992 topps like me or are they some other designs? Id like to see what everyone else says…..

Remembering Junior Seau

Yesterday the NFL lost one of its greatest players. Im not just saying this because hes dead. He really was a good player.

Heres a short piece of his life copied from an online article

Born Tiaina Baul Seau, Jr. on January 19 of 1969. -Played football at USC (1987-90) and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers (1990). -Married the former Gina Deboer in 1992. They had three children: Sydney (b. 1993), Jake (b. 1995) and Hunter (b. 2000). Junion and Gina Seau were divorced in 2001. -Traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2003, then joined the New England Patriots in 2006. He was on the 2007 Patriots team that went undefeated in the regular season before losing to the Giants in the Super Bowl. -Played his last game in January of 2010. Statistical highlights: 20 seasons, 268 games played, 1184 solo tackles, 56.5 sacks. Two Super Bowls and 12 Pro Bowls. And one blocked kick (1997).

Okay most of this is his sports career. At age 43 he is one of at least four atheletes to die this past year. Not atheletes in general. I mean relativtely young guys another of which is Dave Duerson.

Seaus death was apparently ruled a suicide. He shot himself in the chest. He is also the 8th member of the 1994 chargers to die.

Farewell Mr. Seau even though I never really saw him play he will be remembered by the football fans everywhere. He will be especially missed by his family.

This is a sad day for sports fans….

Dont feel like posting. Its hot im tired and ive got work to do. I will say this though: Peyton Manning is a Bronco. He signed a $96 million contract for about 5 years. Im unusure about the amount of time though 5 years 10 years its still alot. At least he wont have to play against his brother in the super bowl unless they both make it.

Now well see how he does with a second team…

The picture may be a bit small I dont know. Remember I post from my phone now. Anyway peyton manning as you know was released by the colts a few days ago. He didnt play in 2011 due to injury and surgery. Today it became known that he was thinking of joining the broncos or at least hes talking with them. These are two different things. Wherever he goes I hope he plays well this season. It will be big news in the 2012 season. And if anyone wants to read.an article on his visit to denver here it is below
